Jeff Manie is married with two children and four grandchildren. He has been in the roofing
business for 41 years and is now semi-retired.
In 2013, he and his wife bought a lake house in
Pottsboro and decided to permanently move in 2018 to live a simpler, more peaceful lifestyle. He
enjoys spending time with his family and friends, boating, and fishing.
Misty Manie is a therapist who is actively practicing and is dedicated to helping others. She
enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends, boating, and gardening.
During COVID-19, many people began selling their homes and buying RVs to survive and live a
simpler, cost-efficient lifestyle.
The Manies began to see the need for more RV parks and wanted
to contribute to making this a reality for families who also wanted to live closer to the lake.
When the opportunity arose to buy some land, this family decided this was the perfect chance to
make dreams come true. In January 2022, the construction of Lake Rats RV Resort began.
